LongShot ("we", "our", or "the Extension") is dedicated to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy details our policies regarding information collection and usage across Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Mozilla Firefox.

Permission Technical Justification
activeTab Accesses the currently active browser tab when you click to capture a screenshot (full page, selected area, manual scroll, or visible screen).
scripting Temporarily executes lightweight capture scripts to measure page dimensions, trigger smooth scrolling, and snap slice frames.
<all_urls> Allows the extension to capture screenshots on any webpage you choose to visit. Only activated upon explicit user initiation.
storage Stores local user preferences (e.g. image format PNG/JPEG, scroll speed, theme mode) locally via chrome.storage.local.
unlimitedStorage Allows temporary local browser storage of high-resolution screenshot fragments while loading the editor tab.
downloads Saves your exported PNG, JPEG, or multi-page PDF files to your computer's Downloads directory upon clicking download.

3. Data Retention

Captured image slices stored in local extension memory are temporary. You can clear them at any time by closing the editor tab or clearing extension data.

To support ongoing maintenance, free updates, and development, LongShot displays non-intrusive, privacy-respecting sponsored messages inside the editor tab (viewer.html):
